When I found that beads were made <br> in the same fashion as marbles, the doors blew off the barn! <br>I now find myself pouring over glass recipes, techniques, and tools, <br> manipulating, and creating for hours! <br>All the while trying to perfect all of the above. <br>Did I say for hours? <br>I might as well face it, I'm addicted glass. <br> <br>That's the gist, here's the rest... <br> <br>Your beads are coming to you from South Central Tennessee, <br> high up on a ridge, surrounded by views of thousands of <br> undeveloped acres. <br>My studio is equiped with an oxy-propane torch, an oxygen concentrator, <br>a digtally controlled kiln, rods and rods of glass color, frits, enamels, <br>tools galore, and an innovative ventilation system! <br>Keeping me company are Riddle, Jet, and Mattie, my studio mascot dogs. <br> <br>My experience lampworking now spans over four years, but I'd like you <br>to also know that my career has always been in fine art, primarily paintings. <br>Over the past 10 years I am delighted to say that my paintings <br>adorn some of Nashville's finest homes and art collections: <br>singer Phil Vasser, Rascal Flatts member Jay De Marcus <br> and wife Allison, NFL star Kevin Carter and wife Shima, <br> and many other notables. <br>And in the 10 years prior to Nashville, from my Seattle studio, <br>my artworks were also featured in such catalogs as Horchow, <br> Neiman Marcus, Roche Bobois, and Speigel. <br> <br>This is the foundation, the years of creative experience, <br> from which I draw to create my beads. <br> <br> I hope that you find inspiration in my beads! </p> <br>Cheers! <p align = left><img src="http://shangri-leigh.com/shannon.jpg"> </p> <p align=center style="font-family:verdana;font-size:10px;font-weight:500;color:#666666"> Shangri-Leigh 2007-2008 All Rights Reserved</p>
